Carnoustie Links Championship Course

For more than 500 years golf has been played at Carnoustie. Today, it offers one of the toughest 18 holes in golf. It is also why it is ranked as #22 on the world scale.

This course is rated as the 45th best golf course in the world. It has been the host to 7 British Opens.

The layout is such that no two consecutive holes face the same direction, a factor that does nothing for the golfer in finding their rhythm in the face of often-stiff winds.

 Tom Watson said that "Carnoustie is a must on the golfer's list of British courses which should be played", and Gary Player called it one of the world's greatest courses.

This course has been described as the 'supreme test', and was praised by Walter Hagan as the greatest golf course in the British Isles and one of the top three in the world.
