Detailed Itinerary

Saturday:
Arrival Dublin You will be driven to your accommodations either at Clontarf Castle (5 miles from airport -15 minute drive) or Fitzpatrick Castle (The hotel lies approximately 28km/18 miles south of the airport. 50 minutes by car) client’s choice. Welcoming cocktail & orientation meeting at 18:00 followed by supper at 19:00.

Sunday:
Following complimentary breakfast, you will be driven to the European Club which is rated #57 in“ World Top 100 Golf Courses”. Driving time from Fitzpatrick Castle is 30-40 minutes & 80 minutes from Clontarf Castle. Following your round of golf maybe a tour at Guinness or just visit Dublin on your own & have supper in Dublin, just advise when you want to be picked up.

Monday:
Following complimentary breakfast you will be driven for your round of golf at Portmarnock Golf Club rated # 45 in “World Top 100 Golf Courses” following golf a city tour of Dublin.

Tuesday:
Following your complimentary breakfast you will be driven to Northern Ireland and play Royal County Down rated 5th in World Top 100 Golf Courses. Following play you will be driven to Ballygally Castle.

Wednesday:
Following complimentary breakfast you will be driven to Royal Portrush rated #13 in “World Top 100 Golf Courses”. Driving time is approximately 20 minutes. Following your round, you will have lunch at the golf club or at the Castle depending if tour includes non golfers and then driven to Larne for ferry to Troon. It is recommended to be at ferry 1 hour before departure therefore 16:30. Ferry ride is 110 minutes. Upon arrival in Troon you will meet your new driver who will pick up your luggage and drive you to your next accommodations at Culzean Castle.

Thursday:
Following complimentary breakfast you will be driven to Royal Troon for your round of golf on the Championship course, followed by lunch in the Ailsa Room at the club house. After lunch golfers may choose to play a complimentary round on the Portland course, or return to visit Culzean Castle, there is so much to see. And there is tea at 15:00 to finalize supper menu, if you so wish.

Friday:
Following complimentary breakfast you will be driven to Turnberry to play the Ailsa course.I suggest you have lunch at the club’s restaurant. Following lunch you will be driven back to Culzean Castle and enjoy maybe visiting armory or grounds, or just walk the hallways and appreciate all there is to see. Culzean Castle is owned by the National Trust for Scotland, and is one of the most visited Castles in Scotland. Friday night closing supper .Cocktails at 19:00 and supper at 19:30. This will be the perfect ending to a great week .

Saturday:
After breakfast drive to GLA airport. We wish you a good trip home, we hope you bring back great souvenirs of this trip and that you have made new friendships. We thank you for allowing us to serve you and hope you enjoyed the experience.

Important Notes

The tours that are offered on this site “Top 100 Golf Tours” offer you the opportunity to play the best golf courses in the world. The starting times on these golf courses are in high demand and therefore the longer the lead time the better chances of getting to pay the courses. As an example one of the courses on these tours open their reservation’s book for the 2011 season in February 2010.The Old course at St. Andrews can’t be reserved at this date for 2010, any booking requires either using the ballot or guaranteed tee times that have been purchased at a greatly increased price. The conclusion is that to have the best 2011 trip reserve it prior to September to give us the chance of getting all the starting times you require to have a memorable golf vacation.

 

Transportation

Ireland

We only use Executive Class Coaches that guarantee passenger’s comfort. They are 8 or 16 seater coach with luxurious leather reclining seats with headrests. Not only do you have spacious legroom but also tables, air conditioning with adjustable airflow/reading lights for each passenger, a flat screen TV/DVD, a CD player, tinted double glazing, a fridge and a large boot.

Ferry Larne-Troon

P&O Irish Sea offers a first class passenger service from Larne to Troon. There are 2 daily crossings (07:15 & 17:30) taking just 1 hour 50 minutes on their Troon Express Fastcraft. Better getting there at 16:30 than at 06:15.

Scotland

The new model Ford Transit mini bus offers spacious comfort and safety for travelers. Headroom and legroom is very generous and the interior is quiet, comfortable and stylish. It meets all the latest safety and licensing regulations and is driven by a fully qualified PSV driver. In Scotland no drive is longer than 30 minutes.
